Electric Field Questions?

It's been a while, but the particle should repel from the plate. The force it undergoes should be F = charge*Field*DistanceFromField (I think). You will need to integrate over the 2cm to figure out what this force will do to the velocity of the electron. The initial velocity is dependent on the kinetic energy, E = 0.5*m*v^2.
